Deceased Name: Lael C. Singer Miller

Lael C. Singer Miller, 94, St. Paul, formerly of Duluth, died Thursday, April 4, 1996, in Sholom Home East in St. Paul.

She was born in Hagerstown, Md., and lived most of her life in Duluth. She graduated from Duluth Central High School and attended normal school in Duluth and also the University of Minnesota-Duluth. An accomplished pianist, she taught piano to many people. She was an author of several books and a member of various civic organizations. She moved from Duluth to St. Paul in May 1995.

Her parents were Louis and Rachel Singer. Her husband, Herman, died in 1964. She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Blizen of St. Paul; two sons, Dan of Duluth and George of Roseville, Minn.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Sunday in Adas Israel Cemetery in Duluth. Arrangements are by Hodroff and Sons Funeral Chapel in St. Paul. The family prefers memorials to Sholom Home East in St. Paul.
